Sanusi Ibrahim

Sanusi Ibrahim

Founder

I was born in Okene, Kogi State, Nigeria, and spent much of my early life in Kaduna State, where I completed my primary and secondary education. In 2005, I moved to the United Kingdom to continue my education and pursue a career in technology.

I went on to earn a (BSc) in Software Engineering and (MSc) in Software Development, building a professional career in the technology sector and now working in full-time employment in the United Kingdom.

Despite building my life and career in the UK, I never forgotten the realities faced by many rural communities in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

Growing up in Nigeria, I witnessed first-hand the challenges faced by people living in villages without reliable access to safe, clean water. In some communities, families, including women and children, must travel long distances to streams and other unsafe water sources simply to collect enough water for drinking, cooking and everyday household needs.

Seeing people depend on water that may be unsafe for consumption left a lasting impression on me.

This experience became the inspiration behind the creation of the foundation.

I founded the organisation with a clear purpose to help bring safe, clean and accessible water closer to underserved village communities. Through fundraising, partnerships and community led projects, the foundation aims to support the development of sustainable water solutions, including boreholes and other clean water infrastructure, so that families do not have to travel miles in search of one of life's most basic necessities.

For me, access to clean water is more than an infrastructure project. It can improve health, protect children, support education, strengthen communities and give people more time and opportunity to build better futures.

My vision is to use the opportunities, education and experience he has gained throughout his life to give something meaningful back and help create lasting change for communities in need.

No family should have to travel miles or depend on unsafe streams simply to have water to drink. My vision is to help bring clean water within reach of communities that need it most.
